Jean-Charles Brosseau, a hatmaker, was looking for a fragrance that reminded him of his grandmother's powder, his youth, Sundays with the family and the pâtisseries, hats and furs. He proposed the fragrance to the Americans, who immediately recognised the combination of fragrance and bottle as a recipe for success. The products were designed in a hurry. This first fragrance was an instant hit, daring gourmand, praline and cosmetic notes. Starting with a sublime accord of iris, tonka fervour and vanilla, it is modernised by the fruit of the pear, the scent of praline, honey and almond. Rose, lily of the valley and ylang-ylang flowers pan out in a powdery, aldé hydé impalpable trail..
